Good relationships between us and any families who have one of our puppies is very important to us. We will want to know how our babies are doing after they leave us, help the new owners with any issues they might have during the life of the dog or just share and hear about the wonderful experiences our puppy families go through with their own Lion.

All puppies leaving us will be Micro chipped, health checked and registered with the Kennel club. Our litters will also give DNA sample prior to leaving us so they can be pulled in to research to benefit the breed at later date.

They leave us with 4 weeks free insurance & an information pack to help the new owners in raising a happy healthy dog and of course we are always a phone call away.

Our dogs live in the house as a members of the family sharing our every day life with us, therefore our puppies are raised in a home setting (in our lounge) and exposed to a variety of sounds, people and experiences. They go out  to our garden, go out for car rides and spent time with our other adult dogs to give them a head start in learning to be a good balanced dog. We have two young children and our puppies are used to mixing with them from birth, Leonberger makes a brilliant family dog but caution is needed due to the size difference between young children and the dog.

Our dogs and puppies are raw fed and we support&advise all of our puppy families in continuing to raw feed their puppy as we believe this is the best for the puppies. Since we changed to fully raw feeding we have seen nothing but benefits of this diet. Adults have a lovely coat and teeth and puppies grow slowly and beautifully.

We encourage regular visits from our "puppy parents to be" prior to coming to pick up the puppy as this will give everybody time to get to know each other. Puppies will get to meet people of different ages and mannerisms, very important part of an early sociliasation.

Any puppies that leave us have contracts to protect them and the future of the breed. Therefore, note all of our puppies will have their registrations endorsed (not for breeding) but this might be lifted if the dog is healthy and has been shown to prove she/he confirms to the breed standard in looks and temperament.

In our opinion, if anybody is interested in breeding from their dog, attending  shows to learn more about breed and confirmation and to get unbiased opinion on the dog should be undertaken. With a breed like a Leonberger dog shows are the main field where us breeders get to meet and speak with other breeders and to breed wisely, you must have contacts in the breed, dog shows are much more than just a beauty contest :-).

We do not and will not support breeding just for the sake of it, each litter should be born and planned so that is hopefully benefits the breed in the future.

We only have females and go to outside studs with our girls.

This allows us to select the best possible boy to be the sire of our puppies, not the most convenient one which is often the case when breeder owns both parents.

If the male resides in UK, they can be viewed by prior arragement at their own home.
